Post Weekend Post

Suzie has tagged me, it's a little music tag. I have to post a song that makes me happy. And right now, it's this song. Edge of Seventeen. If there's a song that switches a happy feeling on in you, will you post it in the comments?

We spent lots of time outside over the weekend. Although as it was so hugely and dramatically windy and rainy on Saturday there was no market, I haven't bought anything secondhand for days! I will rectify that at the earliest opportunity.

The sea was very tumultuous, the waves looked like mountains apparently, (Paul and Iris visited the sea without me).

Anyway, outside was lovely. Especially yesterday. We walked in the woods and looked for treasure and collected sticks for our fire. There was noticeably a lot of red around. Iris being the most red thing.

Also I am full of admiration for Kate Banazi and her
work. I came across her on somewhere on Flickr after my screen printing adventures. And was instantly smitten.

She has a blog and a shop and a website and the most magnificent eye for colour and detail.

I am planning to snap up this one up, once I'm a little less fiscally challenged.

Looking forward to hearing all your happy song recommendations!

Music usually intensifies some sort of poingancy in me... I don't often put on a song to make me feel happy because if I'm not happy in the first place the song will make me feel sad...

But if I'm in a good mood and serendipitously ABC's Look of Love, Copacabana, Crazy in Love or Word Up comes on I will continue to smile!

Hello, for some reason, anything from the 'Graceland' album by Paul Simon always makes me almost manically happy. It must be the enthusiasm in the music. Your 'red' photos are brilliant, by the way. I too felt a little inspired by red this weekend and took a couple of photos of red leaves, which I've posted in http://bewilderedbeing.blogspot.com/2009/11/calm-after-storm.html

Not sure about happy, but I heard the live accoustic version of Lyndsey Buckingham singing Big Love on the radio the other day as I was driving along the A35 (you know, the really good bit where you can see for miles either side) and it made me feel very alive. I must get hold of it somehow.

I know Fleetwood Mac aren't very cool, but this is properly hair on the back of the neck stuff.

Ooh! You look most fetching in that red hat, I wish I could wear hats, just do not suit them at all :(

Thanks for the tune, right now I'm revisiting Crowded House's Together Alone, and I love it as much now as I did in '93....

Waves like mountains... oh! The bliss. I miss not living as close as I once did to the beach.

Wow, thankyou kindly!
Love your red hat, and am missing the cold blustery weather of Blighty. Its like standing in front of the oven over here at the minute.
