Excuses and Photographs and Puzzles

So, the blog camp 365 group on flickr is rather absorbing to say the least (that's yesterday's contribution above). And because Iris hasn't started kindergarten yet (due to the inclement weather delaying the start of term) I haven't been in my studio (the loft space previously known as Paul's office) at all, so no new plates and no new shop stock. Consequently, my head is full of ideas yet to be realized. I hope to be getting back into a proper rhythm next week and not to neglect my dear blog too much.

I borrowed this wonderful book from a friend yesterday. I just love the colours and the patterns so much. It's called Puzzles by Brian Wildsmith, (whose work I am a huge fan of anyway) published in 1970. It really makes me want to do some collages inspired by it, (in fact I started one today).

P.S. There should be a Style Resolutions interview with me up on Tea for Joy tomorrow (Thursday), do go and have a look, there's a bit of an exclusive reveal!

Hello Nath,

Thank you for the lovely comment on my blog – it's so nice to hear good stories about homebirth and have lots of feedback and support. Congratulation on yours and your little girl is just gorgeous (love the shot with the glasses!)

Really enjoyed looking through your blog and will definitely be popping by regularly to feast the eyes on some more of your visual delights.

Can't wait to see that collage!

Your 365 photo is great - and fits so well with the Wildsmith paintings. And, isn't it amazing how much time the children take! I have so many good intentions to do creative work, but someone always seems to need something from me. Thanks so much for mentioning me in your Tea for Joy interview. I was so happy!

Hey Nath

I hadn't seen those wedding pics up! I'm very flattered. I love those shoes too – although people were way more impressed with Chris's outfit rather than mine.

Doh!

PS. I really like your blog header. Yay for for paper and scissors! (and a good eye for knowing what to do with them).

Those images are great - and your collage homage is wonderful!

How funny about the cardigan! I hope it's not Iris's! It has rather delicious sparkly navy facetted buttons. i found it in Cancer Research - it's absolutely mint, no bobbles, apparently unworn.

Off to visit Tea for Joy now...

Beautiful, bright colours on this post.
AND today we got the internet back or at least our provider managed to finally connect us. I've missed popping over so much and I'm giggly with excitement at being properly back. Here's to 2010! x
