The Tale of 2010

You might have noticed a extended absence. Sorry about that. I have half had nothing to say and half been really ill with the flu. I hope your Christmas and New Year were untainted by ill health? I hope to reclaim this space now it is officially the NEW YEAR. We'll just have to see about that.

Of course, I failed to complete my 365, but only just, the last 10 days of 2010 went un-photographed largely. I might have a stab at it again this year. On the upside, I think that I have become a much better photographer, and that's good, right?

So here's my year in 12 photographs. Hard to distil 1000s of photographs into the BEST 12, and I could probably keep redoing it until the end of time. But here they are, 12 of my favourites, January to December. The tale of 2010.

Tell me something about the coming year that you're hopeful or excited about.

They're really beautiful. I specially like the first one, but they work great altogether.

This year I'm finishing my master in Textile and surface design... what next? Exciting.

Lovely photos - I like the fireworks one and the teacup. Perfect.

Like you, i've been ill. Am excited at the prospect of being able do all the normal things again that i took for granted; yoga, cycling, being outside, playing. They will seem so wonderful, briefly

Hello Nath, glad you are feeling better. What great photo's, they really do sum up the year beautifully. i love the fire one and the summer meadow, and of course I love the one of Iris. So cute in that hat.

I'm looking forward to another year and its seasons, watching my children grow and maybe finding a little time for me. Well one can dream!

Much love Laura x

Happy New Year Nath... sorry to hear you've been fluey :( Most of my friends had it over Xmas but I manage to stay healthy surprisingly.

I love the redhead matches box and the fireworks/sparklers (?) pics :)

Sorry to hear you've been unwell Nath...let's hope 2011 is a much better year for everyone! A beautiful collection of photos to look back on 2010 with. Happy New Year. My main hope for the year at the moment is that Bertie might finally start to sleep better at night so I can get some bloody sleep and not be such a grumpy old bag (not feeling too positive about this right now though)! x

Your collection is excellent; I too love the café, the tranquility in that shot is amazing. Wish I could look at it every day.

I'm excited and unpatient to start a new year; simple as that.

Happy Sunday!

Wonderful sum up of your past year. Crikey though, looking at the image of the buttercup filled meadow and the bright yellow sunflower, summer seems a long long way away. Bring on lighter, brighter days!
