*NEW* & *MENTIONS* & *THANKS*

Oh, how nice! Some new people over here, hello! *waves* Do budge up and make space for them. Thank you all for reading and commenting, old and new!

Speaking of old and new, here are some *new* *old* things in the shop.

I am happy to report that the cups have gone to a fine home, although they were going to emigrate for a while.

Oh! I have had some very cheery and jolly mentions recently including two happy giveaway winners, thank you very much Elisabeth, Deborah, Nell and Anna! I am going to be be selling some of my block printed illustrations soon, nicely mounted & ready to frame.

Finally, taaaa-daaah! I am very pleased and excited to say that my plates are currently on display (and for sale) at The Maisonette in Glasgow, which I am really thrilled about.

The plates look great with all the rest of their carefully chosen beautiful, covetable treasures.

Doing anything nice this weekend? We're going to a party!

New In The Shop & More!

I have added a few new things to the shop - take a look and better still, buy it all. Not that I'm being bossy or owt.

In other news, I have been out for a walk searching for signs of Autumn. Yes, there is a tiny bit of Autumn. Can't wait for full all-colour woodland displays!

What else? Well, I watched Iris climb very high in a tree.

We played dress-up with her dolls.

And I got some parcels ready to post..

How has your first week of October been?

New! {Vintage} In The Shop! Part 2 Or Is It 3?

I'm aware I'm being very shop-centric in my bloggings at the moment, sorry. It's just that having neglected it for so long, I really feel like putting it out there, otherwise, I'll have to get a proper job and lord knows, I don't want that. So, please, if you like what you see, will you tell your friends and generally push people my way? I'd be really everso grateful.

I have just put these two LOVELY Kenneth Townsend dishes (and the groovy girl tile above) in the shop this very afternoon. It was quite hard to do, I'd love to keep them, but now I'm all about the commerce, I just can't... So, off you go my pretties!

In other news, there was a hat festival here at the weekend, everyone looked so jolly and dapper.

It really made me want to make a bit more effort to wear a hat and suchlike. But I type this, wearing jeans and crumpled tee however, not dandified in the slightest. Tsk! Tsk! Do you have a favourite hat? This winter, I would like a felt hat with a wide brim that calls to mind Ali Macgraw in Love Story. You can see some nice examples here.

I'll be back later this week to announce a giveaway and also something exciting in the pipeline!

New! {Vintage} In The Shop!

Hooray! At laaaaaaaast! Some new things to brighten the shelves of my little shop. The sale is still on for a short time *only* while I add some more newness (see here for details). And I have lowered postage on most things too, now it's mostly £2.50 in the UK and £3.50 elsewhere, unless it's a exceptionally heavy or delicate item. So do amble over and take a look and be sure to let me know what you think!

p.s. Twitter is highly addictive. And I have changed my name. Thanks so much for all your warm welcomings!

New In The Shop

I've added a few new things to the shop. It's been a busy, busy few days and I'm too tired to write or do any more.

New New New

As normality takes hold, I am making some progress, my to-do list even has some ticks on it! Glory!

Let's see, well, I have restocked my etsy shop with a few plates, here's a glimpse at a couple.

I have added a couple of new things to my vintage shop.

I have an(other) list on the go, of things I want to make and do this year, ideas are coming! I am even sort of up-to-date with my 365 project on Flickr. So that feels pretty good.

The next post will be my 200th and I'd like to celebrate that with bells and whistles and more importantly a giveaway. So hopefully I'll sort that out over the weekend, stand by for further announcements!

Oh and I am offering 10% off any purchase from le petit boutique via Tea for Joy - you just have to put the code, teaforjoy in at the checkout and voila!

Happy weekends!

Finally! A shop update. Some nice new things for Spring. Including sweet mugs for little hands and eggcups too, both just begging to be filled up with chocolate eggs for Easter-time.

Paper Dreams Tied Up With Bits of String

*Don't forget that there's a festive discount of 15% in both of the shops! For vintage goodness, go here and input this code - lepetitchristmas or if you fancy a jazzy plate to put your Christmas dinner on then hop over here and I will refund the 15% via paypal.*

But! Be quick if you want a plate as they're all going to be whizzing off somewhere very exciting, I'm going to be telling you all about that very soon. Promise!

In other news, I am listening to this record a lot, it's childish and sweet but spooky and odd too - I particularly love Spin Spider Spin. You can read more about it here at Trunk Records. It'd make a sweet stocking filler!

And I've been busy, snipping and folding up paper to make a garland, it hasn't really worked, which is annoying, so that's hanging up looking a bit forlorn and abandoned. I'll have to re-thread it. Again.

I know the photograph is desperately out of focus. But I kind of liked it anyway.

And newly customised plates!
My plates were mentioned here on the beautiful fine little day and here on a new-to-me blog called so happy kids (thanks to P for the tip-off). Thank you both!

Found a new (to me) lampshade in a junk shop. £1.

And today, I have been ordering business cards and thinking hard about my contribution to this - due the day after tomorrow, eep! *Cue last minute panic*

November Skies and A Shop Update

What a wild weekend.

For weather that is. It's been very rainy and blowy and then rainy again and properly cold. We made the most of the wind by taking Iris to fly her kite yesterday morning.

Then in the afternoon, I watched the pinkly-tinged clouds canter over a silhouetted hill. It was beautiful.

Oh and I've added a few new plates to the shop. Go see!

New Plates and More Screenprints*

I am feeling a little under the weather, which is annoying as we're meant to be going to a party this evening, and I had plans to be extra-productive over the weekend. But now, I'd just like to crawl into bed and wake up right as rain on, say, Tuesday. Not much chance of that.

Here's a few more screenprints that I am working on. I have been collaging onto them. I'm going to add some to the shop in the next week.

I also have three more fired plates in the shop.

Well, I had better dash, I have about 15 minutes to transform myself into a glamorous party-going creature.. Aiiiiiiii!

*Update* - Finally! Some new vintage in the Big Cartel branch of the shop
- taster below..
