Happiness In A Tin

I have a weakness for old tins, better still, old tins full of old sewing ephemera. So I was happy to find this vintage Quality Street tin and its varied contents of sewing whatnots.

All kinds of things within!

Fastenings! Buttons! Needles! Elastic! A bit of grosgrain ribbon! A pink fabric tape measure! And lots more besides.

However, I could really do with a few sewing classes so I can best make use of my extensive, comprehensive and ever-growing collection of sewing notions. Not to mention fabric...

Sometimes it's absolutely just the smallest things that provide a little happiness isn't it? Lovely!

I used to love rummaging through my gran's tin of goodies...buttons, buckles, thimbles etc. I am building up quite a collection too - which I can pass down when I'm a granny!
