Oh what a grey, wet and miserable day. Iris and I braved the weather this morning and got totally soaked. But it was fun to splash in the puddles in our wellies and to find some books in the library for a big cosy read this afternoon.
Here's a tiny sweet-faced owl. More of an owlet really. The last treasure that was unearthed on Saturday. Found languishing in a box full of 10p bits and bobs. Welcome Owly, you've found a home!

Such treasures you find.
She's so pretty...what is her name ;-)?
Hello again,
That's a good question.
I'm thinking it might be a boy owlet. In which case, how about Osmund?
Hello...I just found your blog through your comment on 'fine little day'.....felt the need to post here as I recognise this little fella! My mum had a wooden display box set of about twelve of these little owls, all slightly different when I was a child and I remember them vividly. Sadly she got rid of them in the 90s...and I've been telling her off for doing so for the past two years (maybe this is one of them..alone and orphaned...but now in a good home)! Your blog has been a good find...thanks!
Kerry.
Kerry! Welcome and thank you for your lovely comments.
I too share your pain at the loss of those 12 little owls, I regularly chide my own mother for getting rid of all my amazing hand-made baby clothes. Tsk!
