More Collections by Colour (Oh and Valentines Day)

So, I keep making more colour collections, I'm now shunning all pretensions that I can or want to stop. It's okay. Maybe other stuff will come from it. Maybe it won't. But I think it's okay for the *time being*. Thank you all for leaving such lovely positive remarks on my previous post.

I even had a helper on the orange one. Actually that's not true. Iris roared 'THAT'S MINE!' before seizing the orange crayon and disturbing the delicate order of things. I think I may have threatened no chocolate eggs ever unless she returned it. Of course she capitulated. Bad Mummy.

Today, we spent the afternoon at our allotment moving some strawberries. The sun was out, the hedgerows were full of snowdrops and we saw a gaggle of geese on our way home.

Look, the two geese on the far right (of the picture, I don't mean politically) are almost making a heart.

So perhaps Spring is coming, I know we're not there yet, but the light is changing and that is uplifting in itself, don't you think? We talked about living somewhere warmer today. I don't know where. California? Australia? Ah, winter-time dreams...

We also exchanged sweet little gifts today, Paul wrote me a beautiful card and gave me a copy of The Sartorialist. And I gave him a very fancy bottle of French black raspberry liqueur. I mean, just look at the bottle, it is the epitome of fancy. And you can see the aforementioned chocolate eggs. For us all to share. Yes, even you, Iris.

Hope something today warmed your heart a little or even a lot...

Every time I see your colour collages my heart skips a little. Something about the order and the uniform and the colour. I love them, please can I use one of your photo's on my blog? I am in need of some colour at the moment!

I think the colour compositions are just perfect. I'd like a series of them hanging on my wall. Looks to me like you are back to form, Miss Natalie x

Love, love, them. Exactly what I need to see at the moment and is that a little polar bear I see. Everyone needs to have a little polar bear in their lives. rosa is convinced one lives at the bottom of the garden and lives on Caiike. Lovely Valentine gifts, can just imagine you snuggling in with them tonight. Thank you for being so lovely this week too. Lx sending it right back at you.

Fabulous collections :)

Am guessing you might like this if you don't already know of it - http://collectionaday2010.blogspot.com/

Keep meaning to congratulate you on your Paul Smith commission - how thrilling, but not surprising -your plates are so lovely. I will have to stop by Floral Street for a nosey:)))

Lovely Valentine gift's.

By the way, my kids are forever disturbing the delicate order of things!! :)

Love, love, love these collections. Have you posted them to the flickr "organized collections" group? I think Camilla Engman started that one. Your Valentine gifts are superb. I hope the girl eats lots of chocolate!

I am so happy to see the collections, I think a set in a frame would be wonderful. It always makes my heart skip a beat when you are in form.

Maxi was looking at it with me and loves the though of sorting by colour, we will maybe do our own homage to you tomorrow!!

Lovely post. Tony Cragg would be proud of your homage work, see here: http://bp2.blogger.com/_BHQ553Wq3QQ/RxblfdiZEnI/AAAAAAAACBA/S1DJNXosUjA/s1600-h/cragg.jpg

I love the bottle of Framboise, may I ask - does it really say Bad Liqueur on the bottle? I wish it did...

We were all throwing up consecutively leading up to and just past valentines. Still, it was kind of bonding and we have agreed that the steak and prosecco can just wait until this weekend. Hey ho.

I love the colour collections, last time brown was my favourite but I'm so torn this time... think it might be blue – but very marginally! I love it when the snowdrops come out, I remember by about mid March things get better, not long now. x PS. But you could always move to Australia :)

your color collections are awesome! i like the bright colors, but i loooove that white one up there! go ahead with those bright posters! or you could make them into postcard collections, that would be great, and it's not so expensive!
